What is vending?

The word “vending” refers precisely to the act of selling through the automatic distribution of products using automatic dispensers also called “vending machine”. The purpose of these vending machines is to provide a wide selection of products: drinks, snacks, packaged foods, coffee, ready meals, personal hygiene products and many other things.

Vending is a truly broad world that offers convenience to consumers first and foremost. Vending machines allow people to autonomously buy products without having to go to a physical store and have the huge advantage of being open 24 hours a day. For this reason, they can often be found in public places frequented by many people, such as railway stations, airports, shopping centres, hospitals, offices, companies and schools.

Over the years, it has evolved significantly with the use of advanced technologies, such as cashless payment through the use of applications like Satispay or Paypal, remote stock monitoring and the use of interactive digital screens for product selection. These innovations have gradually made vending machines more efficient and effective.
